What is a UTM link?
A UTM link is a normal URL with extra tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and more) added to the end. Analytics tools like Google Analytics read those tags so you can see exactly which campaign, channel or post brought each visitor.
Is this UTM builder free?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up and no limits. Build as many tracked links as you need.
What do utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign mean?
utm_source is where the traffic comes from (e.g. instagram, newsletter), utm_medium is the type of channel (e.g. social, email, cpc), and utm_campaign is the specific campaign name (e.g. summer_sale). Term and content are optional, mainly for paid keywords and A/B testing.
Should UTM values be lowercase?
Yes — UTM tags are case-sensitive, so 'Instagram' and 'instagram' show up as two different sources in reports. Keep the 'lowercase values' option on to stay consistent.
Is my data private?
Completely. The link is assembled locally in your browser — nothing you type is ever sent to a server.
